Celebration Compilation this Saturday – Boulder Public Library

Come present or just to drive robots work on code or just eat and watch students present their concepts, code and prototypes. Prizes and certificates for all!

10 AM – CSED Week Coding Fest

About this workshop: Companies that have offered Boulder CSED Week events now join together to offer youth ages 4 – 18 are invited to begin or work on a project highlighting their their creativity and use of computer science, coding, and technology. Mentors will be on-hand to help those who wish to present prepare to rock it!

Mentoring organizations include: AgentSheets, SparkFun, Kid CodeIt, Youth Maker Hangout, Boulder Public Library, Sphero, Robauto, Robo Robo and Kids2Glow, Scratch, and more!

You’ll Learn How To: Start or continue work on a project that highlights making with code and technology. If you choose to present your project later at CSED Week Celebration Compilation you will get mentorship on preparing a short resentation and a prize!

Target Audience: kids ages 4 – 18

Parent involvement: Children ages 16 or older are invoted to attend without a parent. Children younger than 16 should be accompanied by a parent or adult.

1 PM CSED Week Celebration Compilation

About this final presentation and celebration event: Youth ages 4 – 18 are invited to present their creativity and use of computer science, coding, and technology. Mentors will be on-hand to help kid coders and makers who wish to present prepare to rock it! Prizes for all presenters!

Target Audience: Youth ages 4 – 18 and any friends and family they’d like to show off to!

Workshop Schedule: We’ll kick off presentations at 1pm. Depending on how many presenters we have, you may be asked to present for 5 minutes, or a bit more. Each presenter will have the chance to show off their creativity and answer a few questions before receiving a prize and their applause. We’ll wrap up with thank yous to Boulder CSED Week volunteers and sponsors by 2:30.

We’re also hosting a CodeFest 10a.m.-12p.m. – register here – Work with mentors on your project and visit several coding and robotics stations.

Parent involvement: Parents, proud grandparents, neighbors, friends, teachers, siblings and more are invited to come celebrate what kids make and discover when the power of computer science is in their hands!
